Amidst the Unknown Sands….

Holding-the-Sun-1

Dawn on me secretly my soulmate……..your saving grace;

Thaw my frozen down spirit along the Sun’s maiden rays.

Do not adjourn yourself from me, you, the absolute divine;

Redeem mercy to this iniquitous soul, to you, ever I entwine.

Consecrate me all over again with your intoxicating smile;

Avail me to steer still, this shimmying ship of tears for a while.

Played out to core, I am, tagging your moonily reflection;

Tranquilize me to reposeful sopor with your genial affection.

Kneeling in the autumn of life, imploring you to be the spring;

All the nests are bygone tales yet birds of hope blithely sing.

Rainfall pinks my door, frequenting as an unwished-for guest;

Enfeebling itself, pouring all but betraying to slake my thirst.

Despair tramping stealthily, is all I construe in this noisy air;

Do not rob me off my serenity, my silent and rightful share.

Quivers is my trusted desire in this unfeeling wintry cold;

Tune up my faith underneath your love blanket’s warm fold.

Stir up in me, the compassionate spark, and the holy will to live;

Pep up me to espouse your guiding light and justly forgive.

Tincture your remembrance in all my nescient voids of sense;

Beef up me to entomb the carking clouds of fears, so dense.

Secure me fondly with your lovesome lace, all night and day;

Let no anguish of yesterday or vex of futurity make their way.

Settle softly alongside me, kissing my frail and unnerved hands;

Embodying the known friendliness amidst the unknown sands….

    Ok, now to this poem. I always admire the words you chose. Always beautiful and always they are new to me ( many of them ) since I write poems just recently hehe.
    And I love the …do not adjourn yourself from me, you, the absolute divine… it’s like I am talking to my God 😊 in my hopeless being.
    Great great piece if work, Reva.
    I am sorry I dont get in touch with you often. Your works most of the time, have me spare a time to understand not just reading it☺

      Oh Julia…..so nice to hear from you. I am doing all fine in His warmth of love. I am all happy to know your lovely and kind thoughts on my poems. This was more of a prayer…..asking for protection and love…..wherein, one party is always speaking and the other party is always listening. 🙂

      Do not be sorry for anything, my dear. No worries…..you are always here in my thoughts if not on my blog. We share a relation outside this blog too. Keep this in mind always. Hope you are doing great. Prayers Assured! 🙂

    What a beautiful conversation from your heart sweet, Reva. My favorite line (it was really hard to pick in this one) “Tune up my faith underneath your love blanket’s warm fold.” I used to play the violin when I was a child. Our teacher taught us that it was always a good thing to keep our instruments tuned. If we neglected to tune them on a regular basis we would find that our violins were out of tune and that it would take longer to tune them properly. I love the image of staying beneath His “love blanket’s warm fold” as He keeps our faith in tune. Beautiful…simply beautiful. Blessings

      Ahhh…Kirsten, you surely got the purport in a most lovely way. Love you so much for sharing your musical thoughts…The violin talk is beyond beautiful. Glad to know about your awesome teacher…the wisdom en-wrapped in her words is very commendable. True….we have to tune up our instruments of faith ritually otherwise the divine music is missed. Lets not wait until things reach a state of irreparability. His love blanket folds are ever warm…..the warmth easily felt by quivering souls.

      Gratitude to you from the core of my heart for your generous time appreciating my poem. Your dainty words echo longer.
      Loads of love and warmest hugs! 🙂

      Thank you my dear Maryam…..that was a splendid appreciation. I am glad to know your lovely thoughts in your beaming words. I am not that perfect with my words, dear….sometimes they just flow and sometimes they are reluctant to come to my memory even. 😦
      Thank you once again for your generous words. Stay Blessed!

    Wow, what a lovely prayer. Truly soulful and deep, coming from deep within the core Reva. I can totally relate. I can sense the longing for peace and help with the struggles of life.
    “Kneeling in the autumn of life, imploring you to be the spring”
    –Oh yes, autumn is like a time reaching close to death. The death of winter. When spring comes though, one can see how the harshness was necessary for growth. It’s tough, autumn and winter, but what a relief when spring comes eh. It’s like the saying, “No pain, no gain”
