Winging Diamonds!

vira

Elegant raindrops ensconce slow
On the chiseled leaves, they lightly row
Alike the exquisitely cut, fly-speck, lambent diamonds
Inventing an ineluctable spell in beaming hundreds
When the day’s ritual threshold is sedately shut
To slumber, all jaded flowers are tardily put
The silverish treasures glisten their best
Against the black nights’ velvety vest
As duskiness, fares to the close
Ended are the glowing shows
Rejoining the Eternity
Obviating Spree
They merely
Fly

Wow, what a delicately beautiful poem. I love the shape – it’s deliberate yet subtle, and you manage to convey not only startling vivid imagery, but also rhyming as well! (If only I could master the same effect, but alas, I have never been able to write a rhyming poem.) Oh, and gorgeous photo too, I might add – did you take it yourself? x

Wow…what a beautiful appreciation. Feeling elated reading your words…many thanks to you, Topaz. Penning a rhyming poem is more fun…try one.I would be glad to read yours. The image courtesy …is all Google. I have put the image link below the poem. FYI..I am not good at photography so always at the mercy of photos taken by others.
P.S. My apologies for not being prompt enough. Was away from blogging for a while. Hope you understand. 🙂

This is lovely Reva. For me, it’s very befitting right now, because my seven year old recently took an interest in fire-flies. They really are amazing little creatures, aren’t they.
Once again, you have eloquently written, and I love the visual of the poem. The photo as well is stunning.
    Hope you’re well sweetie.
