Summers thrummed sunny song;
Burning down, staggeringly long.
Sopped up are its oodles of rays;
Still surfaces, the warmth’s chase.
Monsoons gestated, over again;
Birthing puffy clouds…….. in vain.
Wells high, rained and drenched;
Thirst’s quest, still unquenched.

I definitely did not mean hope here. It was just a random thought lurking around the greediness of human heart. Seasons come and go but man’s thirst for warmth is never quenched. The moment you get something, you desire for more. And there goes this bootless quest.

Watch your iambic pentameter: ‘Birthing puffy clouds, all in vain.’ you might try: ‘Birthing puffy clouds in vain’, leaving out the word ‘all’, and it will flow much more smoothly on that particular line. All in all though, a highly imaginative, picturesque filled with hidden meaning! And I’d add: ‘A brilliant addition to wordpress.com’
